You can try fundraising. A friend of mine was doing that for his trip to Japan (he couldn't be bothered and gave up) - he was buying chocolate online from Cadbury (really cheap) and selling them at school. Maybe you can do that, for a few extra bucks?

I thought I'd had all that I needed but it turns out I'd miscalculated by about 300! I've been fundraising hard though, hopefully it'll all come together 
I was going to offer doing art to help you out as well, but then I realised we'd have to mail it and that wouldn't quite work out...
